Greymouth president

Mr Bob Dayne, who is seeking a seat on the executive of tne Trotting Conference, has been a member of the Greymouth Trotting Club for 20 years and a member of the committee since 1969. After four years as vicepresident, he succeeded to the presidency last year on the death of Dr Brian N’xon. The Greymouth club points out that the Seddon Shield area holds about onesixth of the permits in the South Island, but there is no executive member based north of Christchurch. Previous representatives from the Seddon Shield district have been the late Mr Bill Craddock, of Westport, and the late Mr Heber Hewson, of Kaikoura.
