Children collect for toilets
PA Wellington Children from the Clyde Quay school in central Wellington made a door-to-door appeal on Saturday — for toilet paper. » About 500 toilet rolls and gifts totalling $350 were collected by the pupils. The school’s treasurer, Ms Jackie McAuliffe, said the appeal was necessary because the Government’s annual grant of $1350 was only one-third of the amount needed to cover the cost of cleaning materials, minor repairs and maintenance, stationery, chalk, teaching aids, and sports equipment.
