PA Auckland A Te Atatu man who said he was a doctor and then indecently assaulted a woman has been sentenced in the District Court at Henderson to nine months jail. Frederick James Voice, aged 39, an unemployed engineer, had pleaded guilty to charges of indecent assault and claiming to be a doctor. Counsel (Mr D. G. Voice had got no satisfaction from what he did. Voice, a father of five children, had beeen married for 18 years and his wife had always stood by him,' Mr Mather said.
Judge Maxwell said Voice had appeared before him in June. 1979, for similar offences.
“On that occasion I was more than merciful, I was downright trusting.”

Voice was sentenced to eight months in jail on the indecent assault charge and to one month for saying he was a doctor.
