Anglican protest
The Anglican Church will officially participate in- a public protest for the first time, when “Anglican Action” marchers take part in the anti-Springbok tour on Friday evening. A group of Anglican clergy and lay people, headed by the Bishop of Christchurch (the Rt Rev. W. A. Pyatt) chose the slogan because it felt the image of the Church as “comfortably uninvolved in matters of peace and justice” was incorrect and should be rectified. A Church spokesman, the Rev. Simon Acland, said that the Christchurch Diocese had
