Kittens dumped
Sir.—ln these days of strong protest of the rights and wrongs of rugby tours, etc.. I cannot but wonder if the people who dumped their kittens in the South Brighton Domain on Anzac Day can do so without any feeling. Fortunately for the kittens we have found room in our home and our budget for them, now giving us four cats and one dog. It was my misfortune at Waitangi Day week-end to witness a killing by one bite of a dog of a similar kitten. Have these people no conscience;
have they not heard of the Cats Protection League or is this just one more example of man’s inhumanity to his fellow creatures?—Yours, etc., P. A. CHAPMAN. April 27, 1981.
