White Haven offer
The directors of White Haven Holdings. Ltd. are expected to make a statement soon on their 25c a share take-over offer for New Zealand Land Securities, Ltd. because of the emergence of a mystery Auckland buyer, who has acquired slightly more than 120.000 Land Securities shares at a standing offer of 30c — 5c above White Haven's offer.
It is believed that White Haven now holds 72 per cent of the N.Z. Land capital, and is considering declaring the offer unconditional. * White Haven has called for acceptances by March 31 for the 1.274.150 shares (47 per cent) previously not held by two directors. Mr J. L. Marlin and Mr R. G. Solomon, and the Wellington broker, Mr 8.0. Buxton.
