Forty-hour famine
PA Wellington The Leader of the Opposition (Mr Rowling) yesterday called op all New Zealanders to “stop and think” about the plight of the hungry and homeless throughout the world during World Vision’s 40-hour famine project this week-end.
"This year’s appeal 'is specifically directed toward the tragic famine in Africa,” he said. "But none of us should forget that hunger and deprivation is the daily experience of millions of people throughout the world, Mr Rowling said.
