WAIREWA COUNTY COUNCIL DOG REGISTRATION FEES AND CHARGES 1981/82 PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that in accordance with the Dog Registration Act, 1955, and Amendments, the following fees and charges have been set for the year commencing on April 1, 1981, and ending on March 31. 1982, for all dogs in the County of Wairewa: “For all ‘working dogs,’ i.e. dogs owned by a shepherd or drover, or farmer, and kept solely for the purpose of herding or driving cattle or sheep, or owned by a Pest Destruction Board or Board employee, and kept solely for destroying pests as defined in the Agricultural Pests Destruction Act 1967. A fee of $1.50 per dog.” “For all other dogs. A fee of $3 per dog.” For each collar issued a charge of $2 per collar. Such fees shall be payable for all dogs of the age of three months or over, provided that any dog which attains the age of three months after the month of October, 198!. shall be half the prescribed fee. With the proviso that the fees be increased by 50 cents in each class where dogs which are due for registration in April. 1931. are not registered prior to May 1, 1981. N.B.—lt is an offence to keep a dog of the age of three months or more for a period of 14 days or more unless the dog is for the time being registered under the provision of Section 3 of the Dogs Registration Act 195 a.
