Stanley Graham film
Sir, — I wish to support the stand taken by Barbara B. Roberts over this film. As I remember the incident many of the facts were never clearly established — or perhaps hushed up in war-time secrecy. For instance who shot whom? It was widely believed at the time that some of the later deaths were the result of indiscriminate shooting in the dark by the Home Guard and others. Were the facts ever established by postmortem examination? This sorry affair developed into a vendetta between the police and Graham. Did the police make any attempt to capture Graham alive? Would the whole affair have withstood an Arthur Alan Thomas style inquiry? — Yours, etc., JOHN F. JOHNSON. February 28, 1981.
