Top Paparua gardens
The premier garden award , for Paparua County has been < won by Mrs C. Howman, of 42 Craven Street, Sockbum.. The entries in the annual ; competition were of exceptional quality, said the I County Chairman, Mr C. J. J. Adlam. "In particular the efforts of many rural properties in maintaining gardens in these ,
drought conditions is worthy of special mention,” he said. The premier runner-up was A. K. Asher, of 29 Middlepark Road, while the best individual farm garden was Mrs M. A. Dailey’s, at 154 Blakes Road. Associated British Cables, Ltd, Main South Road, was judged .the best industrial garden.
