Borg’s sixteenth win
NZPA Jakarta Sweden’s Bjorn Borg, the world's No. 1 player, has scored his sixteenth consecutive win .over Vilas Geruaitis byi defeating the American, 1 6-4, 6-2, 6-3, in a tennis match in Jakarta. Both Borg and Gerulaitis showed some good tech- ( niques during a gruelling two-hour match before a ca- 1 parity crowd of 10,000. ’
Borg last beat the New York-born Gerulaitis in an exhibition match in Perth last Tuesday, 4-6, 6-2, 6-3. In an earlier doubles match yesterday, Borg’s wife Mariana Simonescu, paired with the British player, Anne Hobbs, to beat the In-, donesian pair of Ylanda Surname and Lita Sugiartio, 6-4, 6-2. 6-3.
