It has become the vogue in the last few years for senior men’s and - women-’s hockey teams based in the game area of Christchurch to amalgamate. ' The latest clubs to pool their playing and financial resources are the Cranmer women’s club and t’.ie- Sei-wyn-Hillmorton club." The Cranmer club was absorbed into the Selwyn club, one of the oldest in the city, at the
Selwyn annual meeting.' Cranmer, whose teams are mainly made up p f St Margaret’s College old girls, have been assisted with coaching by the Selwyn club in the last few years. Selwyn “ hopes to enter three women’s teams this season including the former Cranmer team, which last year was among the top four, in the senior competition.
