New parcel service
The Railways has started a new and quicker parcel service from Christchurch to Wellington. Parcels dropped at the Christchurdh Railway station before 5 p.m. would reach Wellington by 8 a.m. the next day, said the assistant traffic manager in Christchurch, Mr D. J. Bradley, yesterday.
