New plans for wastes
Garden wastes th,.t were originally collected at the new Metropolitan Refuse “ ation in Haytons Road. Paparua, are now to be composted elsewhere.
Mr E.- C. Britnell, a member of the Metropolitan Refuse Disposal Committee, said la t evening that refuse dumped into the reception bay at the station would be compressed and taken to another site, which had yet to, be decided on.
The, reception bay will be cleared each evening. The refuse will be compressed in a sealed container before it is transported. The refuse station will be) opened in June.
