Springbok tour
Sir, — It is fiard for me to believe that the few who support a tour feel that they are supporting human rights. Instead it seems to be' a very sick joke. They are in fact supporting the right to -be selfish, the right to have a racist Springbok tour despite the fact that it ignores the calls of people for apartheid to cease. — Yours, etc., G. CARTER. February 21, 1981. Sir, — The. ban on the carriage of the ■ Springbok
rugby team and its baggage on trains and railway buses by the national conference delegates to the National Union of Railwaymen in Wellington is not the opinion of the rank and file. Speaking to members of the union at the Addington workshops proves this. — Yours, etc.,
G. DAVIDSON. February 20, 1981.
