Delays at Gorge bridge
The Waimakariri Gorge bridge will be closed at timfcs for the next three months while repairs are done to the bridge abutments. The first closing during the Ministry of Works and Development project will be tomorrow, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Some future closings could also be of the same duration but they will be publicly notified in advance. Delays of up to 20 minutes will occur without notice in the meantime. The repair contract is expected to end on April 18.
