Boat in tow to Lyttelton
A boat was under tow to Lyttelton Harbour late last evening after running into difficulties off the Canterbury coast. The fishing boat Blue Waters picked up distress signals and came to the aid of the Miss Wainoni. The Sumner lifeboats were also put on alert but were not required. It is believed that the Miss Wainoni was swamped. None of the occupants of the boat are believed to have been hurt.
