Shark sighting

A shark sighting at New Brighton yesterday was the first this season. A surf club member at the beach reported the shark, about five metres long and thought to be a White Pointer. It was spotted about 200 metres offshore swimming south soon after 5.30 p.m. Four swimmers at New Brighton quickly left the water.
