Source of Sydney bomb known-police

NZPA Sydney Detectives dealing with the Woolworths bombing case said yesterday that they were sure they knew the source of the explosives used at the* Sydney Town Hall store on Christmas Eve. But a spokesman for the consorting squad investigating the bombing said that the source would be kept secret so that the police would know if somebody claiming to be responsible was telling the truth. The squad has received dozens of hoax calls since the bombing, from people claiming responsibility. The spokesman said that a Channel Seven television

film clip of a man believed to have been involved with the bombing might be a valuable clue, but was not sure. Channel Seven in Sydney received three telephone calls from the same person and the station is sure he is the man shown in the film clip. The man, with an Australian accent, telephoned the station on Saturday evening and told a receptionist. Miss Dorothy Grieve. “You’se are crazy if you think I’d give myself up oyer a film clip.” In further calls last evening the man said that the next bomb would go off in Woblworths Auburn store in Sydney's western suburbs at 9.30 a.m. today.

Mr John Hendrt. said that he had not had anv official notification of the Auburn store bomb threat. The Town Hall store was now cleaned up and would be open for business at 8 aun. today.
