Start on bridge
PA Auckland New Zealand’s longest industrial lock-out ended yesterday when work resumed on the Mangere bridge. Carpenters and labourers officially ended the ban.imposed on the ill-fated bridge when they walked back on to the job for the first time in two years and a half. Scores of jubilant motorists tooted their horns when they saw the men begin the main preliminary clean-up, which is expected to last until Christmas.
