U.S. to lift meat quotas?
NZPA-Reuter Washington American officials say that they have. advised President Carter to' suspend meat import quotas for 1981 in view of an 'expected sharp rise in domestic meat prices.
Domestic retail beef prices are expected to increase by 12 per cent to 15. per cent next year and pork prices by 25 per cent to 30 per cent.
