Gold nugget sold
NZPA Perth A millionaire Western Australian businessman, Mr Alan Bond, has paid $350,000 for the Rose of Texas gold nugget but the SI million Hand of Faith nugget remained unsold at expiry of a deadline for purchase.

for the anonymous couple who found the 4190 z Rose nugget in bush country east of Kalgoorlie in July. They are said to be a retired couple from Perth. The Rose of Texas was so named because its shape resembled that of the United States state.
In Melbourne, an agent for the couple who found the 27.2 kg Hand of Faith nugget said that no agreement had been completed for its sale.
