Crushing Springbok win
NZPA-Reuter Santiago, Chile The touring Springboks yesterday crushed Chile’s Old Boys squad, 78-12. The local team was strengthened by four Argentinians from the Mendoza club but there was little they could do against a vastly superior side which scored its fifth victory in five games.. Edrich Krantz, making his
debut on the left wing, scored three tries while the veteran captain, Morne Du Plessis, played his first game of the present tour. He had been out of action
for the last three weeks because of a shoulder injury and he is now expected to face the Argentinian Pumas at Santiago on Saturday for the second test. The Springboks won the
first test last Saturday, in Montevideo, 22-13<
