No blessing for tour
The Cosmos club does not have the blessing of the Canterbury Softball Association for its proposed tour of South Africa in 1981 or 1982. Members of the C.S.A. executive have unanimously passed the following motion: “That the Canterbury Softball Association does not condone a tour of South Africa by any club under its
jurisdiction as it is in direct contravention of the Glen'eagles. Agreement." The motion was passed in response to the statemenst of the secretary of the Cosmos club, Mr Cliff Bodsworth, whose plans for the tour were revealed in “The Press” last Friday. Mr Bodsworth had also written to the C.S.A. informing it of the proposed tour.
