Issue fills quickly
PA Dunedin John Edmond Holdings, Ltd, has sewn up its $500,00 debenture issue two weeks ahead of schedule. “It indicates bothconfidence in the company and the accurate pricing of the offer,” Mr Alistair Edmond, the secretary, said yesterday.- . ‘ The issue, which was limited to existing debenture and shareholders, offered 15 per cent for-three years, 14A per cent for two years and 15 per cent for four and five years. It opened on September 1.
Edmond’s last debenture issue was for $250,000 in 1978.
Mr Edmond ascribed part of the success of; the latest issue to the fact that therewas not much competition from other company deben: tures, and to the amount of maturing money' being reinvested. In addition to the 1978 issue, debentures from a $500,000 issue in 1975 were also maturing. Some $317,000 of new money was required, only of the previous issued was redeemed.
