Police seek car
Detectives are looking for a car in ' connection with the theft of $14,000 worth of women’s fashion clothing from a Merivale store. ■ ‘ : The rear seat of a car was found near the Strowan Fashion Centre on Sunday after burglars had broken into the store by forcing two doors. The police believe it was removed by the thieves to make room for the stolen goods. The black vinyl seat has
been identified as • belonging to a 1974 Morris or Austin car. ■■ A yellow car of that model was stolen from the nearby Deyonnort Lane, on Saturday night, and has not been recovered? It had black vinyl seats. The Papanui C. 1.8. is anxious to hear from anyone who might have seen the car. The stolen clothing was all new summer stock, mainly skirts, blouses, shirts, and dresses.
