Springbok tour
Sir, —1 would like to ask Anne Thomson (September 20), how, knowing that they have a higher standard of living than blacks, living anywhere else’ on the African continent helps black South Africans who can see the extreme gap in wealth between themselves and their white counterparts — a distinction made purely on the colour of their skin. A protest in New Zealand against the Springbok tour can be an effective protest against apartheid in South Africa. — Yours, etc.,
