N.Z. unbeaten in squash
NZPA Brisbane The New Zealand men’s team continued its winning streak at the Australian teams squash championships at Southport on Queenland’s Gold Coast yesterday. In an early morning match it beat Northern Territory, 4-0. and only Ross Norman had difficulty with his opponent.
New Zealand is unbeaten at this point and has only one
tough match left—against South Australia.
The women had an indifferent day against Western Australia yesterday. Jenny Webster continued her run of good form with a win over Dianne Davis, but Annette Owen was well beaten by the Australian No. 5, Barbara Oldfield. Joanne Milne did not play well and lost to Cathy Bellemore, and Robyn Blackwood found Debbie Matjeles too strong and lost, 1-3.
