Minister criticised
PA Wellington Mr R. W. Prebble (Lab., Auckland Central) said yesterday it would “not be in the best interests of the country” if the Minister of ■ Agriculture, (Mr Maclntyre) were to be Acting Prime Minister when Mr Taiboys, the Acting Prime Minister in Mr Muldoon’s absence
overseas, visited Europe later this month. In a notice of motion in Parliament, Mr Prebble called on the Government to make another Minister the Acting Prime Minister. Mr Prebble objected to Mr Maclntyre’s being Acting Prime Minister j. because of his involvement in the Marginal Lands Board loan affair.
