No advice on tour
PA Wellington The Government will rely on the “good sense” of the Governor-General when it comes to deciding whether he will attend any functions or matches connected with the South African rugby team if it tours New Zealand next year. Answering a question by Mr R. W. Prebble, (Lab., Auckland Central) in Parliament yesterday, the Acting Prime Minister (Mr Taiboys) said the Prime Minister would not advise the Gover-nor-Gneral to stay away from such functions or matches.
