New synod chairman
The Rev. Albert Grundy, the Methodist minister for Papanui, will be inducted as the chairman of the North Canterbury Methodist Synod this evening. . ; - Mr Grundy, who spent nine years as the minister of the Shirley Methodist Church, is a member of the National Council of Churches and is chairman of the Christian World Service Committee. He is also chairman of the Methodist Central. Mission’s child-care committee. He will replace the Rev. R. H. Allen, who will take up an appointment in Britain for the next 12 months.
