Yallop’s claim doubted
PA Wellington The Police Association’s secretary, Dr R. A. Moodie, said yesterday that the'British author, David Yallop, did not know who fed the baby daughter of the slain Pukekawa couple, Jeanette and Harvey Crewe. Mr Yallop said in his book about the murder, “Beyond Reasonable Doubt?” that he knew who fed the baby. However, Dr Moodie said yesterday, “If he knew and could prove who fed the baby he would have, the key to the whole controversy. I don’t believe he knows. I have never believed him on that point. “I am not saying that he is telling lies, I am saying that his belief was not well based,” Dr Moodie said; “Every time somebody starts asking questions about it, he starts talking about somethingelse.”
