Prisoners escape
Two remand prisoners, one of whom is considered dangerous by the police, escaped from Sunnyside Hospital last evening. The Christchurch police said that Henry John Franklin, aged 19, should not be approached. Franklin, and Andrew Vermeeren, aged 19, were missed about 8.15 p.m. Franklin is a Maori, about 168 cm (sft 6in), and
, is of solid build with 1 black hair and brown , eyes. He has tattoos on j both arms. Vermeeren is 175 cm (sft j 9in), and is a Maori of i solid build with black hair I and brown eyes. He has a cobweb tattoo on his right eye and a dagger design 1 on his throat. Both men were wearing , brown dressing-gowns and 1 pyj_„ias.
