Union seeks inquiry
PA ■' Auckland A delegation of trade union officials' will meet the management of the Auckland Farmers’ Freezing Co-operative today to try to persuade the company to allow a full public inquiry into the company’s books and the closing of the Southdown freezing works. .
Mr T. P. Kelly, secretary of the Auckland Freezing Workers’ Union, said yesterday that the unions wanted to find the reasons for the lack of stock and support from farmers.' He said the unions would continue to press for an inquiry if the company refused the union’s request.
