F. Kirk to train at Pukekohe
Fraser Kirk, who in recent years has been associated with Felix Newfield’s team at Templeton, has gone north and will establish himself as a public trainer. He will prepare his team from Les Purdon’s property at Pukekohe and when the latter takes horses to North America in November, it is intended that Kirk will take charge of his home operations.
Kirk has taken the smart pacer, Delbert, north. The Armbro Del five-year-old was lightly raced last season, but he showed sufficient ability to suggest he will more than pay his way in the Auckland area.
