Peter Shand, the driver of Capinsay in the Four-year-old Stakes at Methven on Saturday, was fined $5O for using his foot as a bar. False Regal, the second favourite for this event, broke after 300 m. lan Cameron and Dick Langford were warned for attempting to jostle after about 600 m in the Staveley Handicap. In an incident about this point, Wibahe Queen broke and ran in, hitting the running rail and dislodging her driver, Cameron. Eastwood Earlybird, Highland Piper and Lloyd Hamilton met with interference.
