“Glen-Colwyn,” a North Canterbury grazing and fattening property of 1452 ha was passed in at auction yesterday at $400,000. However, it was sold by private sale immediately after the auction for an undisclosed sum.
. 1 The 1978 Government valuation of the property is $218,060. The farm is near Parnassus, overlooking the Conway River. About 20ha are leasehold, and from the total, about 150 ha of the
land is flat, while the rest is easy to steep hill. Buildings include a fourbedroom, permanent material homestead and a two-bed-room, weatherboard bungalow, a three-stand woolshed, three-bay implement shed, hay barn, shearers’ quarters and stockyards.
The auctioneer was Mr G, Robertson, of Wrightson N.M.A., Ltd, in Christchurch.
Nearly 9ha of industrial land in 25 titles off Shands Road, Hornby, sold at mortgagee auction for $650,000 (about $29,500 an acre).. The land, which is in Paparua County, is zoned Industrial C. The titles vary from 1351 square metres to 2.lha. Full services are installed underground. The auctioneer was Mr R. A. Parle of Dalaetv- (N.Z.). Ltd
