Appeal dismissed on murder count
PA Wellington An appeal by three men against conviction in the High Court at Christchurch for murder has been dismissed by the Court of Appeal. Matthew Morgan King, aged 20, a labourer, Wayne Edward Gush, aged 23, a fit-ter-welder, and Russell James Pirie, aged 24, an unemployed artist, had been
[found guilty of the murder lof Peter Haimdana in a bedroom of a house in Christchurch on July 13 last year. [ In a judgment delivered yesterday the Court of Appeal, comprising the president (Sir Clifford Richmond), Mr Justice Richardson and Mr Justice O’Rdgan, said it could not uphold any of the numerous grounds of appeal advanced on behalf of the appellants.
