Loss to rugby

Mr Jack Storey, a former president of the Canterbury Rugby". Union and a stalwart member of Linwood club, died yesterday after a short illness. Mr Storey, who was 68 had been associated with file Linwood club for more, than 40 years, serving as president for file last 20. He was a life member of the club as he was also of the Canterbury union. He was first elected to the union in 1950 and began his three-year term as president in 1971, As a Ufa member, Mr Storey continued to attend union meetings and his experience was not wasted. and Storey, Ltd., which he co-founded. He is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter. Mr Storey is the third prominent rugby official to die in recent weks. The first was Graeme Don, a vice-president of the Canterbury union, and then Alan Felton a former secretary of file union.
