Swimming record to N.Z. girl

NZPA Sydney New Zealand’s Deidre Walls smashed the Australian .record for the 100 metres breaststroke, in the national' short-course swimming championships at the University of New South Wales on Saturday evening. Miss Walls, aged 17, of Wellington, clipped 1.05 s off the previous record, with a time of 1 min 13.805.
