Third win for Coast
PA Oamaru West Coast scored its third win in South Island division two rugby when it beat North Otago, 24-16, at Oamaru on Saturday. West Coast led, 14-3, after 27 minutes but a late charge by North. Otago saw the half-time score 14-12 in West Coast’s . Coast sealed the game early in the second spell
with two quick tries, though North Otago had the final say when it went in for a try 10 minutes from full time.
West Coast: ties by Gavin Cook (2), Winston Monk, Stephen Boon, and Mike Elliott; Tony Kissock, two conversions. North Otago: tries by Richard MacNamara and Jack Hamilton; Paddy White penalties and a conversion.
