Support for Q.E. II Park
Sir, — I was both amazed and delighted to see one of our city’s greatest assets, Queen Elizabeth II Park, actively promoted with television advertising. It is about time the authorities responsible started to promote their assets as any other business with a saleable commodity does. Now all families and, more important, visitors to Christchurch will be aware of the activities that are so readily accessible to the public. Whoever was responsible for this gigantic step should not stop there. Q.E.11 is ours; we should all make use of it. ■— Yours, etc., CHERYL RICHARDSON. August 26, 1980.
