Escapers recaptured
NZPA Brisbane The Queensland police recaptured two New South Wales women prison escapers in Brisbane yesterday, but they believe that the two other women who escaped with them, including Judith Ann Garrett, formerly of Christchurch, are not in Queensland. The four women escaped from Silverwater Prison, Sydney, on August 11. Robyn Joanne Lynch,
aged 23, and Catherine Cornfoot, aged 22, surrendered quietly after the police surrounded a South Brisbane hotel in a dawn raid yesterday. ■ Lynch was serving seven years for armed robbery, and Comfoot a term for assault and robbery. Garrett, a convicted murderer, and Susan Mary Flynn, who was serving a term for escape, assault, and robbery, are still at large.
