Heathcote rubbish fire
A rubbish fire at the Heathcote County Council’s dump in Truscotts Road kept firemen busy for almost five hours yesterday. The first fire engine reached the dump at 3.47 p.m. and the last did not leave until 8.45 p.m. Firemen had trouole getting at the seat of the fire, which was deep in a wall of refuse,- but no property was damaged.
