Mt Erebus inquiry adjourned
PA Auckland The inquiry into the crash of an Air New Zealand DCIO on Mount Erebus was adjourned for a day because of the “non-availability” .of an Air New Zealand witness. The airline’s navigational services officer (Mr William Amies). completed his evidence to the inquiry on Tuesday and yesterday another computer navigation staff member, Mr Hewitt, was due to give his evidence.
An Air; New Zealand spokesman said he was unaware of the adjournment or the reasons for it. •
