Charles, Owen nine off
NZPA-Reuter West Berlin The New Zealanders, Bob Charles and Simon Owen, both on 220, lay nine strokes behind the leaders yesterday after three rounds of the West German Open golf championship at Wannsee Course, West Berlin. The United States Masters champion, Severiano Ballesteros, of Spain, and the South
African, Mark McNulty, led the field with 211. Both carded 70 yesterday. Ballesteros, who has also won the Dutch and Spanish Opens and the Martini International in England, dropped a stroke to par at the opening hole but then collected four birdies, including one on a 25-yard chip shot at the seventeenth.
