PA Wellington When Parliament sat at 2,30 p.m. yesterday the annual report of the Department of Social Welfare was tabled.
Members gave six notices of: motion and Ministers answered 16 questions.
. The Remuneration Act Repeal Bill was given a •first reading and referred to . the Labour and Education Select Committee.
The Reynolds Hall Trust Bill was given a first reading and referred to the Committee on Bills. , The Reserves Amendment Bill .was reported back from the Lands and Agriculture Committee after the Government won a division,' 42-33. The North Shore Drainage Amendment Bill was withdrawn!. The estimates for the Audit Department, the Prime Minister’s Department and the Security Intelligence Service were approved. Debate on the Treasury estimates was interrupted by the adjournment at 10.30 p.m.
