Message to Muslims
In an unusual statement marking-the end of a Muslim holiday, -President Carter has sent his greetings "to our fellow Americans of the Muslim faith” as the month of Ramadan draws to a close. Although the White House frequently issues presidential statements m a r k i n g Judeo-Christian holidays, such observances of ‘ other religious holidays are rare. The statement appeared to be aimed at improving the over-all tenor of relations between the Carter Administration and Governments in Muslim countries particularly Iran. — Washington.
