Leprosy appeal
> Sir, — Having shared during the last few days in the splendid effort made by Canterbury people for the annual appeal of The Leprosy Mission, I write to express my thanks and admiration for the help given by so many people in the care of leprosy sufferers. Thanks to the people of Christchurch and environs for their generous response to the appeal which seems likely to equal if not surpass last year’s total. Special thanks to the army of volunteers who performed the arduous task of "knocking on doors” to enable householders to respond to this appeal. The money will. be responsibly used in the care of many of the world’s fifteen million leprosy sufferers, many of whom are children. — Yours, etc.,
R. F. CLEMENT, New Zealand Director,
The Leprosy Mission.
