About five times more motorists than usual have been stopped by the Ministry' of Transport round Christchurch in a blitz on speeding, according to the Ministry. A total of 508 motorists was issued with tickets or given verbal warnings in the week to Sunday night. The blitz will end on August 16. The Chief Traffic Officer for Christchurch, Mr R. \V.
